Macromedia Freehand, What Is it?

Macromedia Freehand is a 2-dimensional vector-based application that resembles Adobe Illustrator. Freehand was created by Altsys and licensed to Aldus the released version 1 to 4. Shortly after Aldus merged with Adobe Systems, Adobe Freehand returns to Altsys. Then Altsys was bought by Macromedia that released 5.0, 5.5 (specifically Mac), 7,8,9,10 and 11/MX.
In 2005, Adobe bought Macromedia back that indirectly restore Freehand to Adobe. As a lightweight, flexible, Freehand often used as a page layout creation, creation, and editing vector graphics. I personally use Macromedia Freehand MX to create a stamp, wedding invitation, business cards, and logo which I will cover in the next tutorial.

For those who do not have Macromedia Freehand MX, please download for free at here.
